Open any app that uses the keyboard
Tap the text field
Tap the emoji key on the keyboard
If you do not see the emoji key, go to Settings
Tap General
Tap Keyboard
Tap Keyboards
Tap Add New Keyboard
Tap Emoji
Tap the emoji key again
Tap an emoji to insert it
Swipe or tap categories to find more emojis
Use the search bar in the emoji keyboard if available
Tap and hold some emojis to see skin tone or style options
