How To Make Kheer?

Rinse 1/4 cup rice and soak for 20 to 30 minutes

Boil 1 liter milk in a heavy-bottomed pan

Add the soaked rice to the boiling milk

Cook on low heat, stirring often, until the rice softens

Add 1/2 cup sugar and mix well

Add cardamom powder

Add chopped nuts like almonds, cashews, and pistachios

Add raisins if desired

Cook until the kheer thickens to the desired consistency

Turn off the heat

Garnish with more nuts

Serve warm or chilled
