Add pancake mix to a bowl
Add the required amount of water or milk
Add eggs and melted butter or oil if the mix calls for them
Stir until just combined
Leave the batter slightly lumpy
Heat a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat
Pour batter onto the hot surface
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set
Flip the pancake
Cook the other side until golden brown
Remove from the pan
Repeat with the remaining batter
Serve warm with your preferred toppings
