How To Make Roti?

Take whole wheat flour in a bowl

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Add water little by little

Mix and knead into a soft dough

Cover the dough and rest it for 15 to 30 minutes

Divide the dough into small equal portions

Roll each portion into a smooth ball

Flatten one ball with dry flour

Roll it into a thin round roti

Heat a tawa or flat pan

Place the roti on the hot pan

Cook until small bubbles appear

Flip and cook the other side

Flip again and cook until lightly browned

Press gently with a cloth or spatula to help it puff

Remove and serve warm
