How to Make Salsa at Home?

4 ripe tomatoes

1 small onion

1 to 2 jalapeños or serrano peppers

2 cloves garlic

1/4 cup fresh cilantro

1 lime, juiced

1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cumin

Wash the tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, and lime

Remove stems from the peppers

Remove seeds from the peppers for less heat

Chop the tomatoes, onion, peppers, and garlic

Add all ingredients to a bowl or blender

Add lime juice, salt, and cumin if using

Pulse or blend until desired texture is reached

Taste and adjust salt or lime juice

Refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes before serving

Serve with chips, tacos, or grilled foods
