How to Make Teriyaki Sauce at Home?

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup water

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon minced ginger

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon cold water

Combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a saucepan

Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves

Mix cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl

Stir the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan

Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened

Remove from heat and let cool

Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator
