Pull the emergency release cord to disconnect the opener
Make sure the door is fully supported and nothing is under it
Grip the door firmly with both hands
Lower the door slowly and evenly
Keep fingers clear of the door sections and tracks
If the door is heavy, ask someone to help
Once closed, re-engage the opener by pulling the release cord toward the door and running the opener if needed
Lock the door manually if it has a lock
