Place the shoe on a flat surface
Measure from the center of the heel base to the point where the heel meets the sole
Use a ruler or measuring tape
Measure vertically from the ground to the highest point of the heel
For wedge heels, measure from the ground to the highest point at the back of the shoe
For platform shoes, measure the heel height separately from the platform height
Record the measurement in inches or centimeters
Measure both shoes if needed to confirm consistency
