Gather a piece of paper, a pencil, a ruler or measuring tape, and socks you plan to wear with the shoes
Place the paper on a hard, flat floor against a wall
Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall
Keep your weight evenly on both feet
Trace the outline of your foot or mark the tip of your longest toe
Mark the back of your heel on the paper
Measure the distance from the heel mark to the toe mark in a straight line
Repeat the process for the other foot
Use the larger measurement if your feet are different sizes
Measure both feet at the end of the day
Compare the measurement to a shoe size chart
Add a little extra room if needed for comfort and toe space
