Keep it on a plate or in a container to catch drips
Use cold water thawing if needed
Seal the chicken in a leakproof bag
Submerge it in cold water
Change the water every 30 minutes
Cook immediately after cold water thawing
Use the microwave defrost setting if needed
Rotate and check the chicken often
Cook immediately after microwave thawing
Do not thaw chicken at room temperature
