How To Mince Onion?

Peel off the dry outer skin

Cut the onion in half from root to stem

Place one half flat-side down on the cutting board

Make horizontal cuts toward the root, keeping the root end intact

Make vertical cuts from top to bottom, again stopping before the root

Slice crosswise to create small pieces

Repeat with the other half

Gather the pieces and chop again if a finer mince is needed
