Push the cork into the bottle with a wooden spoon handle or similar blunt object
Use a shoe to tap the bottle base against a wall until the cork moves out enough to grab
Twist a screw into the cork, then pull it out with pliers
Use a key or sturdy knife tip to work the cork out slowly
Use a wire hanger bent into a hook to pull the cork out
Wrap the bottle in a towel and tap the bottom firmly against a hard surface
Apply gentle heat to the neck with warm water to help the cork loosen
Use a pump-style wine opener if available
Use a bike pump and needle to create pressure and push the cork out
Break the bottle only as a last resort and only if you can safely strain the wine
