Clean the bathtub thoroughly with a strong cleaner
Remove soap scum, grease, and mildew
Rinse well and let it dry completely
Sand the surface lightly to roughen the finish
Wipe away all dust with a tack cloth or damp cloth
Tape off surrounding areas and fixtures
Apply a bonding primer made for tubs or slick surfaces
Let the primer dry according to the label
Sand lightly again if recommended
Apply bathtub epoxy or tub-and-tile paint in thin coats
Use a foam roller or high-quality brush for even coverage
Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next
Apply additional thin coats as needed
Let the final coat cure for the full recommended time
Avoid using the bathtub until fully cured
Reinstall hardware and remove masking tape carefully
