Clean the countertop thoroughly with soap and water
Remove grease, dirt, and residue with a degreaser
Sand the surface to dull the finish
Wipe away all dust with a tack cloth or damp cloth
Tape off edges, walls, sinks, and fixtures
Repair chips, cracks, or holes with filler
Let repairs dry completely
Apply a bonding primer made for countertops
Let the primer dry fully
Lightly sand the primed surface if needed
Wipe away dust again
Apply countertop paint in thin, even coats
Let each coat dry before applying the next
Add additional coats until coverage is complete
Apply a protective topcoat or sealer
Let the final coat cure for the recommended time
Avoid heavy use, water, and heat until fully cured
