Set up two cornhole boards facing each other, 27 feet apart from front edge to front edge
Place one board at each end of the playing area
Divide players into two teams, with one or two players per team
Give each team four bean bags of the same color
Decide which team throws first
Stand beside the board and throw bags underhand toward the opposite board
Aim to land bags on the board or through the hole
Alternate throws between teams until all eight bags are thrown
Count points at the end of each round
Score 3 points for each bag that goes through the hole
Score 1 point for each bag that stays on the board
Score 0 points for bags that miss the board or touch the ground first
Use cancellation scoring by subtracting the lower team’s points from the higher team’s points
Keep the difference as the round score for the team with more points
Continue playing rounds until one team reaches the winning score, usually 21 points
Win by being the first team to reach or exceed the target score after a completed round
