Form two teams of two players each
Sit partners across from each other
Deal four cards to each player
Place the remaining cards face down as the draw pile
Turn the top card of the draw pile face up to start the discard pile
Try to collect four cards of the same rank
On your turn, draw one card from either the draw pile or the discard pile
Discard one card face up to the discard pile
Pass cards to your partner by giving subtle signals agreed on before the game
Watch for your partner’s signal to know when they have four of a kind
If you think your team has four of a kind, call Kemps
If your partner has four of a kind, they should signal success
If the call is correct, your team scores a point
If the call is wrong, the opposing team may score a point
Continue playing until a team reaches the agreed winning score
Use only prearranged signals and avoid obvious cheating
Keep turns moving quickly and stay alert to other players’ signals
