Shuffle the deck thoroughly
Deal all cards evenly to all players
Keep your cards face down in a stack
Each player flips the top card at the same time
Compare the revealed cards
The player with the higher card wins the round
Aces are usually the highest card
If cards are tied, start a war
In a war, each tied player places three cards face down
Each tied player then flips one more card face up
Compare the new face-up cards
The highest new card wins all cards from that war
If there is another tie, repeat the war
Continue playing until one player has all the cards
The player with all the cards wins the game
