Place your index finger across all six strings at the 2nd fret
Place your ring finger on the 4th fret of the D string
Place your pinky finger on the 4th fret of the G string
Place your middle finger on the 4th fret of the B string
Strum from the A string down for a standard B major barre chord
Keep your index finger pressed firmly to avoid muted strings
Arch your other fingers so they do not touch adjacent strings
Check each string for clear sound and adjust finger pressure if needed
Move the same shape up or down the neck to change the chord position
Practice slowly until the chord rings cleanly
