Attach one end of the strap to the bottom strap button of the guitar
Attach the other end of the strap to the upper strap button near the neck
If your guitar has only one strap button, tie the other end of the strap to the headstock behind the nut
Make sure the strap is not twisted
Adjust the strap length to a comfortable playing position
Check that both ends are secure before lifting the guitar
Use strap locks if you want extra security
