Use a standard 52-card deck
Play with 4 players in 2 partnerships
Sit partners opposite each other
Deal all 52 cards one at a time
Determine the trump suit by the last card dealt or by agreement before play
The player to the dealer’s left leads the first trick
Play clockwise
Follow suit if possible
If you cannot follow suit, you may play any card
The highest card of the suit led wins the trick unless a trump card is played
Any trump card beats any non-trump card
If multiple trump cards are played, the highest trump wins
The winner of each trick leads the next trick
Count one point for each trick won by your partnership
Play until all 13 tricks are completed
The partnership with the most tricks wins the hand
Keep score across hands if playing multiple rounds
