Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs
Trim excess fat
Rinse the ribs and pat them dry
Season with salt, pepper, and desired spices
Let the ribs rest with seasoning for at least 30 minutes
Preheat the oven, grill, or smoker
Place the ribs on a lined baking tray, grill, or smoker rack
Cook low and slow until tender
Baste or sauce during the last part of cooking if desired
Rest the ribs before cutting
Slice between the bones and serve
