Start a new flight booking or open an existing reservation
During checkout, review the baggage policy shown for your fare
If you need to add checked bags, continue to payment or manage the reservation after booking
Use the “Add Bags” or baggage option if available in your reservation
Enter the number of bags you want to check
Pay any applicable baggage fees
Save or confirm the updated itinerary and baggage receipt
At the airport, bring your bags to the Southwest bag drop or check-in counter
Make sure each bag meets Southwest size and weight limits
