Back up any important data on the Chromebook
Power off the Chromebook
Press and hold Esc + Refresh, then press Power
When the recovery screen appears, press Ctrl + D
Press Enter to confirm turning OS verification off
Wait for the Chromebook to restart and enter Developer Mode
Follow the on-screen setup prompts after reboot
Be aware that Developer Mode will erase local data and reduce device security
