Raise the presser foot
Turn off the sewing machine
Place the thread spool on the spool pin
Put the spool cap on if needed
Guide the thread through the first thread guide
Follow the threading path on the machine
Bring the thread down and around the tension discs
Bring the thread up through the take-up lever
Guide the thread back down through the lower thread guides
Thread the needle from front to back or as directed by the machine
Pull several inches of thread through the needle
Place the bobbin in the bobbin case if needed
Pull both top thread and bobbin thread under the presser foot to the back
Close the machine covers
Turn the handwheel toward you to test the thread path
