You cannot fully recall or unsend a normal SMS or MMS sent from iPhone
You can delete the message from your own iPhone, but it will still remain on the recipient’s device
If you used iMessage and the message was sent recently, press and hold the message
Tap Undo Send if the option appears
Undo Send works only within a short time after sending
If the message was sent to a non-Apple device, it cannot be recalled
You can edit a recently sent iMessage instead of recalling it
Press and hold the iMessage
Tap Edit if available
Make your changes and resend
If the message was already delivered and Undo Send is unavailable, ask the recipient to ignore or delete it
