Search the conversation by username
Ask the other person to resend the chat or screenshots

Open Accounts Center
Select Your information and permissions
Choose Download your information
Request a copy of your Instagram data
Check the downloaded file for messages
Restore from a phone backup if you saved one before deletion
Check linked email notifications for message previews
Use a trusted data recovery service only if the messages were stored locally on your device
Avoid third-party apps that claim to recover deleted Instagram chats
Contact Instagram Support if you believe the deletion was caused by an account issue
