Apply a cold compress or wrapped ice pack for 10–15 minutes at a time during the first 24 hours
Use a spoon chilled in the freezer and press it gently on the area for a few minutes
Apply a warm compress after 24–48 hours to help increase circulation
Gently massage the area around the bruise, not directly over it if it hurts
Use aloe vera gel or vitamin K cream if available
Apply arnica gel if your skin tolerates it
Cover it with makeup or a color corrector if you need to hide it quickly
Wear clothing, a scarf, or a bandage to conceal it
Avoid rubbing, scratching, or picking at the area
Avoid heat, alcohol, and smoking in the first day if possible
Seek medical advice if it is very painful, swollen, or not improving
