Open the blinds fully
Locate the mounting brackets
Remove any bracket covers if present
Unscrew or release the brackets from the window frame or wall
Support the blinds with one hand while removing the last fastener
Lift the blinds out of the brackets
Remove the brackets from the window if needed
Patch any holes left behind if desired
