Scrape off any excess paint with a dull knife or spoon
Rinse the stained area with cold water from the back of the fabric
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Gently rub the detergent into the fabric
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Rinse with cold water
Repeat if needed
For dried paint, soak the fabric in warm water and detergent
Use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on stubborn stains
Blot the stain with a clean cloth
Wash the garment according to the care label
Check the stain before drying
Repeat treatment before machine drying if the stain remains
Use a stain remover if necessary
Avoid hot water until the stain is gone
