Open the group text conversation
Tap the group name, info icon, or details button
Look for the option to leave, exit, or remove yourself
Tap Leave Conversation or Exit Group
Confirm if prompted
If you do not see a leave option, mute the conversation or ask the sender to remove you
On some phones, you can only leave a group text if all participants use the same messaging app or if the group is not an SMS/MMS group
