Check your phone’s Messages app for an Archive, Hidden, or Spam folder
Open the Messages app menu and look for Archived conversations
Use the search bar to find the contact name or keywords from the message
On Android, open the conversation and choose Unarchive if available
On iPhone, check if the message was hidden by filtering unknown senders or deleted recently
Restore messages from a cloud backup if they were removed from the device
Restore messages from Google Drive, iCloud, or your phone manufacturer’s backup service
Use your carrier’s message backup or message recovery service if available
Check linked devices or companion apps that may still have the archived messages
Contact your phone manufacturer or carrier support for recovery options
