Use acetone-based nail polish remover
Use non-acetone nail polish remover
Soak a cotton pad with remover
Press the cotton pad onto the nail for a few seconds
Wipe the polish off
Repeat if needed
Use foil wraps for stubborn polish
Use a nail file to gently remove the top layer first

Use hydrogen peroxide mixed with warm water
Use white vinegar and lemon juice
Use toothpaste and a soft cloth
