Turn off News or Discover
If using a Samsung phone, open Settings
Tap Lock screen
Tap Widgets
Turn off News
If using Google app cards, open the Google app
Tap your profile icon
Tap Settings
Tap Notifications
Turn off news notifications
If using a lock screen app, open that app’s settings
Disable news, feed, or content on lock screen
Remove any third-party lock screen apps if needed
Restart the phone if the news still appears
