If the account is supervised by Family Link, the parent or guardian must remove supervision from the Family Link app
Open the Family Link app on the parent’s device
Select the child’s account
Tap Controls
Tap Account settings
Tap Account info
Tap Stop supervision
Confirm the action
If the child is old enough for Google’s age requirements in your region, follow the prompts to remove supervision
If the account is managed by a school or organization, contact the administrator to remove restrictions
If you only want to change content filters, open Family Link and adjust Google Play, Chrome, Search, and YouTube settings
If you cannot access the parent account, use Google Account recovery to regain access first
If the child account was created with an incorrect age, update the birthdate in the Google Account settings if eligible
If supervision cannot be removed, wait until the account reaches the minimum age required in your country
After supervision is removed, sign out and sign back in on the device to refresh settings
