Sign in to the account with administrator access
Open Settings
Go to Accounts
Select Sign-in options
Under Password, choose Change
Enter the current password
Leave the new password fields blank if the option is available
Confirm the change
If using a Microsoft account, switch to a local account first
Open Control Panel
Go to User Accounts
Select Manage another account
Choose the account
Select Change the password
Leave the new password blank if allowed
Press Windows + R
Type netplwiz and press Enter
Select the user account
Uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer
Click Apply
Enter the current password to confirm
Open Command Prompt as administrator
Type net user username * and press Enter
Leave the new password blank if prompted and press Enter
Restart the computer to verify the change
