Open Chrome
Click the three-dot menu
Select Settings
Click Search engine
Choose Google or another preferred search engine
Click Manage search engines and site search
Remove Yahoo from the search engine list if available
Click On startup
Remove any Yahoo startup pages
Click Appearance
Remove any Yahoo homepage setting if present
Open Extensions
Remove any suspicious or unwanted Yahoo-related extensions
Open the Chrome menu
Click More tools
Select Clear browsing data
Clear cookies and cached files
Reset Chrome settings
Click Reset settings
Select Restore settings to their original defaults
Restart Chrome
If Yahoo still appears, uninstall suspicious programs from your computer
Restart the computer
Open Chrome again and check the search engine settings
