Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the starter motor
Raise and support the vehicle if needed
Remove any covers, shields, or intake parts blocking access
Disconnect the starter electrical connectors
Remove the starter mounting bolts
Remove the starter motor from the vehicle
Compare the old starter with the replacement starter
Position the new starter motor in place
Install and tighten the mounting bolts
Reconnect the electrical connectors
Reinstall any removed covers, shields, or intake parts
Lower the vehicle if raised
Reconnect the negative battery terminal
Start the engine and verify proper operation
