Remove the AirTag from your Find My app
Open the Find My app
Tap Items
Select your AirTag
Tap Remove Item
Press and hold the AirTag battery cover until the cover rotates and opens
Remove the battery
Wait 30 seconds
Reinsert the battery
Press and hold the AirTag’s battery until the status light flashes amber, then release
Wait for the status light to flash white
Bring the AirTag near your iPhone again
Follow the on-screen prompts to set up the AirTag
