Save any open work
Open the Start menu
Select Power
Hold down the Shift key
Click Restart
Wait for the recovery menu to appear
Select Troubleshoot
Select Advanced options
Select Startup Settings
Click Restart
Press the key for Safe Mode
Choose Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking
Wait for the system to restart in Safe Mode
