Remove mushrooms by hand and dispose of them in a sealed bag
Mow the lawn regularly and keep grass at the proper height
Rake up leaves, thatch, and other decaying organic debris
Reduce excess watering and water only when needed
Improve drainage in soggy areas
Aerate compacted soil
Remove rotting wood, stumps, roots, and buried organic matter
Increase sunlight by trimming overhanging branches
Apply a lawn fungicide only if needed and labeled for mushroom control
Keep pets and children away from mushrooms until they are removed
