Pat the salmon dry with paper towels
Brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter
Sprinkle with salt and black pepper
Add garlic powder
Add paprika
Add dried dill or fresh dill
Add lemon zest
Add a squeeze of lemon juice
Add a pinch of onion powder
Add a little brown sugar for sweetness if desired
Add chili flakes or cayenne for heat if desired
Season both the top and sides evenly
Let the salmon sit for 10 to 15 minutes before baking
