How to Select Cells in Excel?

Click a single cell to select it

Drag across cells to select a range

Click a column letter to select an entire column

Click a row number to select an entire row

Click and drag across row and column headers to select multiple rows or columns

Hold Shift and click another cell to select a contiguous range

Hold Ctrl and click cells to select non-adjacent cells

Press Ctrl+A to select the current data region or the entire sheet

Press Ctrl+Space to select the entire column of the active cell

Press Shift+Space to select the entire row of the active cell

Use the Name Box to type a cell reference or range and press Enter

Use arrow keys to move the active cell

Hold Shift while using arrow keys to extend the selection

Use Ctrl+Shift with arrow keys to select to the edge of a data region

Click the Select All button at the top-left corner of the worksheet to select the entire sheet
