Open the Messages app
Open an iMessage conversation
Press and hold the microphone icon next to the text field
Speak your voice memo
Release the microphone icon to send
If prompted, allow microphone access
To cancel, slide your finger away before releasing
To listen before sending, tap the play button if available
To keep the audio message, tap Keep if shown after sending
