Place the dinner plate in the center of the setting
Put the fork to the left of the plate
Put the knife to the right of the plate with the blade facing inward
Put the spoon to the right of the knife
Place the napkin to the left of the fork or on the plate
Set the water glass above the knife
Place the bread plate above the forks if used
Put the butter knife on the bread plate if used
Arrange utensils in the order they will be used, from outside to inside
Keep all items evenly spaced and aligned
