Unscrew the crown counterclockwise if your Rolex has a screw-down crown
Gently pull the crown out to the first position to set the date, if your model has a date function
Turn the crown in the appropriate direction to change the date
Pull the crown out to the second position to set the time
Turn the crown to move the hands forward until the correct time is reached
For date models, advance the hands past midnight to confirm the date changes correctly
Set the time to a few minutes ahead of the current time
Push the crown back in fully
Screw the crown clockwise until it is secure, if applicable
Avoid setting the date between about 8 PM and 4 AM to prevent damage on many models
