Turn on the TV and the DISH receiver
Insert fresh batteries into the DISH remote
Press and hold the mode button for the device you want to control, such as TV
Press and hold the SAT button until all mode buttons light up
Enter the remote setup code for your TV using the number buttons
Press the pound button
Press the power button to test the TV
If the TV turns off, press the record button to save the code
If the TV does not respond, repeat the steps with the next code
Use the menu on the receiver to access remote setup if needed
Select Remote Control from the settings menu
Choose the device type and follow the on-screen prompts
Test volume, power, and input controls after setup
Repeat the setup process for any additional devices you want to control
