Turn on the TV
Make sure the Dish receiver is powered on
Press and hold the TV mode button on the Dish remote until all mode buttons light up
Enter the TV brand code using the number buttons
Press the pound button
Press the power button to test the remote
If the TV turns off, press the TV mode button to save the code
If the TV does not respond, repeat with a different TV code
If needed, use the remote’s scan function to find the correct code
