Download the Google Home app on your phone or tablet
Sign in with your Google account
Plug in your Google Nest device
Wait for the device to power on
Open the Google Home app
Tap the plus icon to add a device
Select Set up device
Choose New device
Select your home
Follow the on-screen instructions
Scan the QR code or enter the setup code if prompted
Connect the device to Wi-Fi
Name the device
Assign it to a room
Test the device with a voice command
Update the device if prompted
Adjust settings in the Google Home app
