Wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser
Dry your face completely before shaving
Trim longer facial hair first if needed

Hold the skin taut with your free hand
Use short, slow strokes
Move the razor against the direction of hair growth for a closer shave
Use gentle pressure
Shave the cheeks, then the neck, then the chin and upper lip
Go over each area a few times if needed
Rinse or brush out the razor head during and after shaving
Apply aftershave or moisturizer when finished
