Open iMovie and your project
Select the clip in the timeline
Move the playhead to the point where you want the clip to start or end
Drag the yellow trim handles inward to shorten the clip
Use the split tool if you want to remove a middle section
Select the unwanted section and press Delete
Trim the clip again if needed for precise timing
Preview the result by playing the timeline
Save or export the project when finished
